What Is A Hinge?

Hinges, also known as hinges, are mechanical devices used to connect two solids and allow rotation between them. Hinges may be composed of movable components or foldable materials.

Hinges are mainly installed on doors and windows, while hinges are more commonly installed on cabinets. According to material classification, they are mainly divided into stainless steel hinges and iron hinges; In order to provide people with better enjoyment, hydraulic hinges (also known as damping hinges) have emerged. Their function is to provide buffering function when the cabinet door is closed, minimizing the noise generated by collisions with the cabinet body when the cabinet door is closed.

The common classifications of hinges are as follows:

1. According to the type of base, it can be divided into two types: detachable and fixed;

2. According to the type of arm body, it can be divided into two types: sliding type and card type;

3. According to the covering position of the door panel, it can be divided into a full cover (straight bend, straight arm) with a general cover of 18 cm, a half cover (middle bend, curved arm) with a cover of 9 cm, and an inner cover (large bend, large bend) with all the door panels hidden inside;

4. According to the styles of hinge development stages, it can be divided into: first stage force hinge, second stage force hinge, hydraulic buffer hinge, touch self opening hinge, etc;

5. According to the opening angle of the hinge, it is generally used at 95-110 degrees, while special ones include 25 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees, 135 degrees, 165 degrees, 180 degrees, etc;

6. According to the type of hinge, it can be divided into: ordinary first and second stage force hinges, short arm hinges, 26 cup micro hinges, marble hinges, aluminum frame door hinges, special angle hinges, glass hinges, rebound hinges, American hinges, damping hinges, thick door hinges, and so on.
