1、 Material
There are currently two types of hinge materials on the market, cold-rolled steel and stainless steel. Cold-rolled steel hinges are commonly referred to as steel, but they are made by the cold rolling process. After the cold rolling process, the surface of the steel will be smoother and more beautiful, and it can also have better mechanical properties. A slightly better cold-rolled steel surface will also be coated with a layer of copper and then a layer of nickel to increase rust and corrosion resistance.
2、 According to the installation of the cabinet door, it can be divided into straight arm, medium bend, and large bend
Straight arm (straight bend), medium bend, large bend. This is the name given by the manufacturer based on the shape of the hinge. If the arm body is straight or slightly concave, it is called a straight arm or straight bend, if the arm body is slightly convex, it is called a mid bend, and if the arm body is much convex, it is called a big bend. However, carpenters or installers have another name based on the installation method. The hinge used for the door panel to completely cover the side panel is called a full cover, and in this case, the hinge used is called a straight arm. If the door panel covers half of the side panel, it is called a half cover, which means that one side panel needs to cover two door panels, and the half cover is also called a middle bend. A door panel that does not cover the side panel is called uncovered, also known as a large bend. Straight arm (full cover), medium bend (half cover), large bend (no cover). It is still necessary to know the content of preparing for your own decoration. If you are looking for a whole house customization or carpentry, you can ask the designer or carpenter to make a list of the quantity and buy it
3、 Based on the opening and closing angles and usage
1. 105 ° or 110 ° hinges, which are the most commonly used opening and closing degree hinges for most cabinet doors.
2. Thick door hinges are suitable for doors with a thickness of approximately 16-20mm. If you do not want to use a straightener to make a wardrobe door to the top, you will need a thickness of approximately 22-28mm. In this case, ordinary hinges are not suitable, and you need to use this specialized thick door hinge. Of course, the opening and closing degrees of thick door hinges are also around 105 ° -110 °
3. 165 °, 155 °, or 175 ° hinges, also known as universal hinges, have a particularly large opening and closing angle and are suitable for corner cabinet doors
4. 135 ° hinge, suitable for corner cabinet linkage doors, requires a 165 ° hinge
There are also very few types of irregular hinges such as 90 ° (180 °), 120 °, etc. The most commonly used one is still a 105 degree hinge
